  • Yes you can run NinjaTrader 8 on a mac but it requires you to run some virtualization software as a layer between the NinjaTrader program and the Mac OS. Sorry Mac users, but NinjaTrader 8 can't run directly on a Mac (you can using virtualization software), and it doesn't appear that this is going to change any time in the near future because mac software has to be created for mac's and windows software.
  • From the developer: Make Ninja Jump is a 2D platformer game for Mac OS.

Indeed, right now it's probably the best Star Trek game getting active attention, so if you have an itch to boldly go shoot some Klingons, this is the place to do it. Beneath a Steel Sky Sadly, it seems the age of the point-and-click adventure is long-gone.

I recommand playing the Windows version, since the HTML port cuts almost every particle effect and may have screen flickering issues. Thank you for your understanding and please have fun !

One Jump Ninja

You have one jump, and one shuriken. Use them carefully to conquer 11 platforming levels across a mini hub area !

Controls

  • Right / Left : Move
  • Up : Enter a level (door)
  • Z/W : Jump

  • ESC : Exit to hub

Nice job, I had a lot of fun! I like your interpretation of the theme, and I was impressed by how many variations you came up with for the game mechanics.

Just so you know the webgl version bugs out and flashes white repeatedly. Amazing Game! This game along with the style is amazing! Your modular tanks game was my favorite entry to the extra-credits jam and this game, the one jump ninja is shaping up to be my favorite in this jam to!

If you don't mind me asking, how much programming experience do you have? Also, how do you come up with good ideas like this one, that have a good scope?

Oh hey it's you ! Hi again ! Thank you ! That's strange though, it doesn't flash white for me, although I think it's a common downside to Godot's web exportations. However the particles seem to be broken on the web build..

Programming is just a hobby that I started about 3 years ago, just to make games. I learned the basics with Brackeys' videos, and then I tried some stuff by myself in Unity for basically the following 2 years : I must have created something like 30 unfinished prototypes during this period, each one more broken than the last one :)

But ultimately I started participating in jams last year and I think that's where I got the most experience from. As for finding ideas, well this was surprisingly hard for this jam, probably the hardest it has ever been for me yet.. I try to find a mechanic that sounds fun in my head, then thinking about what stuff could make it more fun or could combo well with the mechanic. So here, my core mechanic was having only 1 jump and 1 shuriken, and for example, the wall-climbing mechanic was introduced because having only one jump would make moving in the level more of a chore than anything else.

the html5 version also flashed for me, and I couldn't jump. only then I found there was also a downloadable version. I'd say just keep that.
the game is good! got more creative than I thought. smoot tutorial, nice use of the shurikens and cool touch with the red legs.

Thank you ! This may be an issue that occurs with a certain type of graphics card, although I'm not sure at all. Seems like it's something that comes from the engine itself..

This is my entry for the #ToyBoxJam 2020! The idea is that we're given specific sprites to make a game with in Pico-8 in less than 2 and 1/2 weeks. I made this in one week. It's a simple platformer. Have fun!

📕Story📕

You are Ninjoe, a ninja from Meadow Village. One day, your friend Adam falls ill with an unknown illness.

The village elder suggests you journey to acquire the Golden Goblet of Legend, said to cure those who drink from it of any and all sickness!

The elder claims the goblet is located in an underground palace engulfed by the Primeval Forest.

It is a dangerous place. No one who has journeyed to the palace of the goblet has ever returned!

Nice simple platform game. I liked the level design, level had varied challenges so the game didn't run out of ideas. I especially liked the maze-like areas with the smaller blocks--a nice change of pace. If I would suggest adding anything it would be good to have a smoother transition or delay after you die, maybe have the camera pan back to the respawn point before the player reappears or something. Still, cool little game :)

Yes, there's a secret passageway you can enter. It's entrance to it is near the fire.

To get the good ending, you need to beat the game quickly enough. By quickly enough, I mean in under 3 minutes. Good luck!
